A brand new hockey season set in motion.
To respond to COVID related challenges, the Ontario Minor Hockey Association needed to restructure their 2021 season to accommodate a shorter play time. They requested a video to explain to all players and parents how the upcoming season was going to work rather than sending a wordy email.

A style based on existing brand guidelines needed to be agreed on so a style scape was created to get the client on board with the visuals. A gritty tone using halftones, grungy textures, and a red, white, and black palette was used to get players excited for the upcoming season.
STYLESCAPE
New Season video
Once they style was agreed on and the final script was nailed down, the video could be finalized. The video (split into 5 sections) detailed how the new season was going to play out. It was important that visuals were made to accompany the text to allow for the viewer to easily follow along.
Gritty textures, quick jittery motion design, and halftone overlays create a tactile feel within the animation that creates a sense of excitement and anticipation. .
Championship video
After the first video was completed, a second video was requested from the client to give an explanation to parents and players about how the championships were going to be executed.
